Anyone any further ideas which may fix, or a good recommendation for an auto spark to fix at a reasonable cost?

This is for a Ford Mondeo estate (TDCi 52 plate) and Ford are quoting my £160 to replace the key (yes that 160!). Apparently this includes the cost of the key (£65+vat) and a fee for resetting the immobiliser codes (£75+vat).

Go to Timpsons (or similar) and get a third key for your Ford - NOW And don't buy a second hand (from a car dealer) or new Ford without insisting on 3 keys as part of the contract, and make sure you have the keys before taking the car from the premises.

Apr 28, 2009 · a very common problem caused by the mechanism at the back of the lock inside the door. take off door card inspect with torch anything loos re-tighten, many people have the lock removed/rebuilt and this has cured the problem i had a fiesta noticed slight tapping in the door onday and the locks wouldnt unlock tightened all back up behind lock was fine after.

Dec 2, 2021 · My wife's 2016 Fiesta has the locking wheel nut key plus the Key Code Card in a small plastic bag in the glove box. I have no doubt the garage will have already looked in the glove box. That does not really help, other than to indicate that there is not a designated place designed to hold the wheel nut key securely / safely in a known place.
